Dauphin to Get New Surveillance Cameras to Curb Crime

The Manitoba government is partnering with the City of Dauphin to address crime.

They’re using funds from the Criminal Property Forfeiture Fund for the installation of closed circuit TV cameras on all city-owned property.

It’s being done in an effort to discourage vandalism and break-ins, while adding additional tools that RCMP can use during criminal investigations.

The project includes upgrading seven existing cameras to high-resolution, and adding ten high-resolution cameras.
