On Wednesday this week, Evan Montgomery presented the $1,000.00 donation cheque to organizer Reagan Foster with Norquay Helping Hands. Norquay Helping Hands is a Food Bank helping the area of Norquay, Hyas, Pelly, Arran, and their rural areas. The money this year will be used to purchase food, clothing, and toys. This is our second year in a row getting to donate money raised from the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook to Norquay Helping Hands. That is in part because of the great participation we had with the Norquay Co-op!
In October the Norquay Co-op had me at their location to sell the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook. So many GX94 listeners from around the Norquay area drove in to pick up there copy. One of the best moments was when a 20 something year old stopped by, purchased 5 cookbooks, and said her Grandma sent her, and knew she was most definitely going to be getting one of the books as a gift. You’re a great granddaughter.
So big thank you goes out to the Norquay Co-op, the great staff there who were friendly as always, and all of the GX94 listeners from the Norquay area! Because of you, $1,000.00 went to the Norquay Helping Hands this holiday season.
