I made the trip to Moosomin last week to put a $1,000.00 cheque in the hand of Samantha Jones (right) with the Moosomin Food Share. Laurie Sheppard (left) was also at the Food Share that day. This was such a nice surprise. Laurie was my contact for many years with the Moosomin Food Share. I have quite a few pictures with her and I, donation cheque in hand, over the past Christmas seasons. Samantha is in charge now, and heading all of the needed work they are doing this holiday season.

Samantha said Christmas Hamper requests are up this year, with many knew families on the list.

A big thank you goes to Darcy and the staff at Moosomin Pharmasave. Darcy had me at his store during their Moonlight Madness to sell the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbooks. Pretty much right from the start of the cookbook, Darcy has had us at his store to sell them. Because of Moosomin Pharmasave’s participation, we can then make the $1,000.00 donation right back into the community.
