$1,000.00 donated in the Swan Valley Area this Christmas!

I made the beautiful drive to Swan River a few times over the past few months. Most recently, to make a $1,000.00 donation to the Swan Valley Food Bank. I met with Phyllis Hunt, organizer of the Food Bank, for a second year in a row. She, like many of the other food bank/hamper organizers said that the requests for food hampers has doubled since last year. They made over 200 for families in the Swan Valley area.

We’ve been able to donate approximately $6,000.00 to the Swan Valley Food Bank over the past, almost decade from the proceeds raised from the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook. A huge thank you goes out to Julie owner of the Empty Bobbin. She has been a major sponsor of the cookbook for two years now, and I have been able to sell our cookbooks at her store during the holiday seasons.

And what a lovely store it is. Thank you to everyone who drove to Swan River to get their cookbooks at the end of November when I was there. I saw some familiar faces, ladies who have sent me recipes from the very beginning of the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook, and a few new ones too. Thank you again to everyone for being a part of the 2023 GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook. -Tonya Cherry-
