A guilty plea by a Muskowekwan First Nation man, charged in connection with a shooting on the reserve.

36-year-old Donovan Oochoo appeared in Regina Court of King’s Bench Monday, to stand trial, but he instead pleaded guilty to Discharging a Firearm with Intent, and Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited, with the other two counts against him, including a charge of Attempted Murder, were stayed by the Crown Prosecutor.

Oochoo was remanded in custody for sentencing, on April 25th, in Regina King’s Bench.

Punnichy RCMP say that in December of 2021, two men got into an argument at a home, and one was shot by the other, with the victim being treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
