A Kisbey resident charged in connection with a drug and firearm bust in that community in 2021, was back in Estevan Court of King’s Bench this week.

On November 23, 2021, officers searched a home in Kisbey, and seized a stolen firearm, 52 grams of cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

23-year-old Kiera Shingoose and 23-year-old Demetrius Standingready had been committed to stand trial in Estevan Court of King’s Bench on weapon and drug charges.

In November, Standingready was sentenced to two years less a day in jail for his role iin the bust.

Shingoose was in court on Monday (Jan. 22), and admitted to Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, with sentencing set for April 22nd, in Estevan.
