It was a better night for the Melville Millionaires last night as they beat the Kindersley Klippers 6-3. And Benny Walchuk came through for me again, sending me pictures and videos from the road!
The Mills hit the road yesterday afternoon. They drove from North Battleford to Kindersley, a two hour drive. I’m looking at Google maps for these times, so if I’m way off it’s not my fault. Just saying. And thanks Benny for the pictures of your food! I told you he only eats healthy.
They’ve had great weather, and great roads for the drive which is always good to hear. And the Mills were able to regroup after their lose to the Battlefords on Tuesday night, to take the win Wednesday. I wonder how much Benny is grumbling about my nagging for these pictures? I’m smiling as I type this right now!
I’m guessing it was a happy bus making their way home after the game last night. Kindersley to Melville, another 5 hour trip. Hopefully they all got some sleep.
I won’t be calling Benny this morning or texting him. I’m guessing they got home to Melville around 4am today! EEK! And then he is off to Waywayseecappo this afternoon with the Swan Valley Stampeders to call their game tonight against Wayway. Puck drops at 7:30pm and Benny will be on the air again on GX94.
Maybe next week I can get Benny to dish all of the hockey gossip with Danny and I! -Tonya Cherry-
