Easterville man charged in fatal stabbing returns to court

An Easterville man charged in connection with a deadly stabbing in The Pas has made another court appearance.

On January 19th, Mounties responded to a report of a serious stabbing incident on Edwards Avenue, and at the scene, they found two seriously injured men.

One of the men, 41-year-old Eugene Michelle, of The Pas, died of his injuries, while the other victim, a 37-year-old man, was taken to hospital in Winnipeg.

33-year-old Pierre Young appeared in The Pas yesterday, and was remanded in custody to appear there again on March 21st.

The investigation also resulted in the arrests of two youths who can’t be named, due to their age – a 16-year-old boy charged with Second Degree Murder, and a 15-year-old girl charged with Manslaughter.
