Third suspect in custody in connection with robberies and home invasion in Dauphin

Three people are in custody after a home invasion and two robberies in Dauphin last week.

Around 7:30 last Wednesday night, Mounties responded to a robbery  in the back lane behind Railway Avenue, where a man had a gun pulled on him by a masked individual, who allegedly assaulted the victim, stealing money before fleeing.

Then, shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday, they responded to a home invasion on Fourth Avenue Northeast, where police say four masked individuals forced their way into the home, sprayed the homeowners with bear spray, and left the scene.

Shortly after that, Mounties were called to a home on Mountain Road, where four suspects – two male and two female – entered the home, brandished a knife, threatened the occupants, and stole alcohol.

Two Duck Bay men – 24-year-old Lorenzo Ducharme and 30-year-old Desmond Parenteau, face charges including Break and Enter and Assault with a Weapon.

24-year-old Mallory Catcheway of Brandon had been wanted on charges of Assault, Robbery and Break and Enter, but she turned herself in to Dauphin RCMP yesterday.
