A jury has convicted a man charged with the alleged abduction of his seven-year-old daughter, in order to prevent her from getting a COVID-19 vaccine.
55-year-old Michael Gordon Jackson, of the Carievale district, was found guilty of Abduction in Regina Court of King’s Bench on Friday.
He is not in custody, and a sentencing date remains to be set.
In January of 2022, Saskatchewan RCMP issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for Jackson, after he was charged with Abduction in Contravention of a Custody or Parenting Order.
Police located Jackson and his daughter in Vernon, B.C., over a month later.
