Trio charged in Yorkton drug bust make first court appearance

Three men arrested in Yorkton last week following a drug trafficking investigation, have made their first court appearance, on drug, weapon, and stolen property charges.

On May 16, the Yorkton Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team executed search warrants at three homes, and a traffic stop on Seventh Avenue South, seizing about 42 grams of cocaine, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia, bear spray, and cash.

The trio are not in custody.

22-year-old Michael Spearing of Edmonton will return to Yorkton Provincial Court on June 10, while 43-year-old Kenneth Kulaway of Yorkton and 20-year-old Farhan Ahmed Abdulkadir of Edmonton, will appear in Yorkton again on June 24.
