A 19-year-old man has been charged with two counts of Second Degree Murder, following an incident on the Pine Creek First Nation.

Winnipegosis RCMP were called to the scene at about 11:30 Sunday night on a report of shots fired, where they found an injured 37-year-old man, who died at the scene.

Then, at about 4:30 Monday morning, Mounties found the body of a 52-year-old woman in the same area.

About an hour later, a suspect allegedly fired shots at police, and tried to flee on an off-road vehicle, but was arrested.

Oryan Flamand remains in custody.
