There was a good turnout for the D-Day Parade and Service last (Thu) night at the Yorkton City Cemetery. 

Yorkton Legion President Brittany Johnson says it was important to mark the occasion.

She was also pleased that the weather cleared and the wind dropped off in time for the ceremony.

Yesterday (Thu) marked the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landing in Normandy, France.
