Sask Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Visits York Lake Regional Park

Today the Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Laura Ross was at York Lake touring the new upgrades within the Regional Park.

Recently, the government doubled the annual funding for the Saskatchewan Regional Park Association to 1.23 Million.

Ross stated that Regional Parks is a major destination in the province, bringing residents and volunteers together and creating over 1,000 seasonal jobs each year.

Through the capital grant, regional parks can receive 25,000, which helps continue the long-term sustainability of the parks.

The park recently added a new camping space, and they hope to upgrade the canteen and do some ball diamond work in the future.
