One of two inmates that escaped from a Yorkton correctional centre has been arrested

One of two inmates who escaped from a Yorkton correctional centre on July 7 has been caught.

On Monday, Saskatoon Police arrested 22-year-old Chase Ahpay, who was wanted by Yorkton RCMP for being unlawfully at large.

He appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday.

Mounties are still searching for 30-year-old Brett Schnieder, who is described as being five feet six inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair, green eyes and multiple tattoos, and when last seen, he was wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
