Moosomin RCMP Arrest Male For Cattle Theft

A 34-year-old man has been arrested for Cattle Theft.

On June 28th, the SK RCMP Livestock Investigator received a report of a suspicious livestock transaction, which prompted the Moosomin RCMP to investigate.

The investigation determined that 14 calves had been stolen from a farm in Silverwood, SK, over the course of three separate incidents.

Further investigation determined that he also attempted to sell the calves.

Seven of the 14 calves have been returned to the farm.
Ryan Bennett was arrested on July 12th at a residence near Whitewood.

He has been charged with three counts of cattle theft over 5,000, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and three counts of trafficking property.

He is scheduled to appear in Moosomin Court on August 20th
