Swan River Man Sentenced to Jail Time

A Swan River man arrested in connection with two incidents at the same residence, has admitted his guilt.

Just before midnight on September 24, Mounties say a man broke into a home in Swan River, assaulted a man, stole a cell phone and a bicycle.

The next morning, the same suspect broke into the same home, smashing items, stealing a hammer, then proceeded to a Main Street business, where he allegedly smashed two parked vehicles, and windows of a business, with flying glass injuring a female employee.

37-year-old Jeremy Gingras pleaded guilty to one count of Break and Enter with Intent in Swan River Court yesterday (Wed), where he was sentenced to 426 days in jail, going forward.
