This morning, at around 8:20 a.m., a tragic collision occurred between a truck and a train on Range Road 2060 in the RM of Elcapo. Broadview RCMP, along with local fire and EMS, swiftly responded to the scene.

The driver, a 63-year-old male from Cowessess First Nation, was the sole occupant of the truck and was declared deceased by EMS on site. His family has been notified.

No other injuries were reported. Broadview RCMP are continuing their investigation with the help of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
