Guilty pleas for two people charged in March 2023 drug busts in Yorkton

An update in the case of two people charged in connection with two drug busts in Yorkton.

On April 30, 40-year-old Jesse Wintonyk admitted to Possession of Cocaine and MDMA for the Purpose of Trafficking, and received a 15-month conditional sentence.

Meanwhile, on June 7, 26-year-old Honora Kitchekeesik of Yorkton pleaded guilty to Trafficking Cocaine, and was given an 18-month suspended sentence.

The remaining charges against both were stayed by the Crown. 

They were charged following the search of two Yorkton homes last March, which resulted in the seizure of a vehicle, some cash, nearly 109 grams of cocaine, and nearly 73 grams of crystal meth.
