I wrapped up my 2024 summer vacation days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend them. Last week was a whirlwind of activities; I devoted 1 relaxing day to lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the refreshing water. For the remaining 6 days, I was at the rink, immersed in the chilly, exciting world of ice hockey. My son was participating in a goalie camp in Regina, which was an incredible experience for him and equally thrilling for me to watch. Throughout the week, I reveled in the joy of having time off from work. However, this delightful break also made me realize how swiftly the days of summer are slipping away. The mornings have a noticeable chill now, and the days are growing shorter with each passing nightfall. With the excellent weather forecasted for the upcoming week, I’m eager to make the most of these precious summer days. I plan to bask in the sunshine as much as I can, whether it’s taking a dip in the pool or hitting the golf course. Here’s to making every moment count before the cooler days set in!
