Cathay Wagantall, MP for Yorkton-Melville, announces the opening of the 2024-25 New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) call for proposals. Applications are open from August 1 to September 12, 2024, at 1 p.m.

NHSP funds community projects led by seniors, aiming to improve their health and well-being. Grants of up to $25,000 are available for initiatives promoting volunteerism, mentoring, elder abuse awareness, social participation, and capital assistance for senior programs.

“Last year, 16 projects in Yorkton-Melville received a total of $280,000,” said Wagantall. “I encourage seniors groups to apply.”
