Man Accused of Murder on Yellow Quill First Nation Makes First Court Appearance

A new court date has been set for a Yellow Quill First Nation man, arrested for the death of a woman on the reserve.

26-year-old Cole Smokeyday appeared in Melfort today (Tue) on three charges, including Second Degree Murder.

He was remanded in custody to Rose Valley on September 11.

On Sunday afternoon, Rose Valley RCMP received a report of an injured person.

24-year-old Terrance Tony-Kishayinew was pronounced dead at the scene.
