Fatal Collision on Trans-Canada Highway Claims a Life

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash along the Trans-Canada Highway. 

Indian Head RCMP responded to the scene just before 1:00 PM yesterday, which blocked Highway #1 at the intersection of Highway #56 until this morning. 

Investigation  determined t hat an SUV and a semi, both traveling on Highway #1, had collided. 

The passenger of the SUV, an 80-year-old woman from Vernon, BC, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the  male driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital by STARS with serious injuries.

The semi driver was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.

Indian Head RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
