Hey there, fellow movie watchers! Guess what? I finally managed to catch a current movie (I know, shocking, right?) and it was none other than the action-packed Deadpool & Wolverine. And let me tell you, seeing it at the IMAX in 3D was a decision I will never regret. The visual experience alone was utterly stunning from start to finish!
But before you rush out to buy your tickets, here’s a little heads-up: this movie is still very much R-rated. We’re talking violence, gallons of blood, a good deal of gore, and SO. MUCH. SWEARING. Yes, it’s a Marvel film, but definitely NOT one for the kiddos. Leave the kids at home for this one!
As someone who has been a big fan of the first two Deadpool movies, I was over the moon to find that this latest installment kept the same humour, insane energy, and over-the-top antics. Plus Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s chemistry was absolutely electric. I swear they might’ve even had more chemistry than Deadpool and Vanessa.
The cameos in this movie too, are absolutely delightful and jaw dropping. I don’t want to spoil anything, but let’s just say you’ll be grinning from ear to ear. The action scenes were nothing short of spectacular; I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. And, believe it or not, the film managed to pull on my heartstrings. I was full on crying by the end.
Oh, and I can’t write this without giving a special shout-out to the person responsible for including Hugh Jackman’s oiled-up abs. Just when I thought this movie couldn’t get any better, there it was, shining (quite literally) in all its glory. Even the characters’ reactions in that scene were totally relatable. Trust me, it’s a moment you’ll remember! So, if you’re a Marvel fan, love a good laugh, or simply enjoy stellar action sequences, make sure you catch Deadpool & Wolverine.
