Monday evening at around 6:50 p.m., RCMP responded to a report of a man pointing a firearm on Dufferin Street in The Pas.

The suspect had approached a vehicle in a business parking lot, aimed a handgun at the driver, and stole a shotgun before fleeing on foot.

An off-duty RCMP officer later spotted the man climbing onto a garage.

The suspect fled again after attempting to enter a vehicle, triggering its alarm. Officers quickly apprehended him after a brief foot chase.

The man, identified as 26-year-old Kurt Nasekapow, was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant and now faces multiple charges, including robbery, resisting arrest, and illegal firearm possession.
