After a tough 10-4 loss to Melville the night before, the Waywayseecappo Wolverines bounced back with a 3-1 road victory on Wednesday against the Melville Millionaires at the CN Community Centre.

Goals for the Wolverines came from Bronson Seymour, Ryley Cyca, and Drew Peters.

The lone reply for the home team came from Mils’ forward Leo Jewitt.

Waywayseecappo’s Andrew Peterson stopped 24 of 25 shots to secure the win, while Mils’ goalie Nick Genette made 26 saves in a losing effort.

With this game, the Wolverines wrap up their preseason and anticipate the 2024/25 regular season, kicking off on Sunday, September 22nd, as they host the Niverville Nighthawks. Meanwhile, the Millionaires continue their preseason on Friday, hosting the Yorkton Terriers.
