Two men face drug and weapon charges following raid at Swan River home

Charges have been laid against two men, in connection with a drug and weapon bust in Swan River earlier this month.

On September 7, Swan River Mounties, with assistance from the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, Remote Piloted Aircraft Section and Police Dog Service executed a search warrant at a home on First Street South, where they recovered five firearms, six BB and airsoft guns, various knives, machetes, brass knuckles, and a crossbow, along with methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and unstamped cigarettes.

The September 7 police raid led to the seizure of numerous weapons, drugs, drug paraphernalia and unstamped cigarettes.

Two men, aged 77 and 31 were arrested on firearms charges, and two counts apiece of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

They have been released from custody, as they await a court date.
