A letter, possibly to you.

Dear person leaving cantaloupes on my step,

Your nightly cantaloupe gifts have not gone unnoticed, and I deeply appreciate the thoughtfulness and generosity behind your actions. It’s truly heartwarming to know that someone is thinking of me and going out of their way to share such a wonderful bounty. Your kindness speaks volumes, and I am incredibly grateful.

However, I find myself in a bit of a dilemma. As much as I love cantaloupes, the sheer volume of 30 to 40 cantaloupes every night is becoming quite overwhelming for me to handle. My kitchen and storage capacities are stretched to their limits, and I’m struggling to use or share them all before they go bad.

I hope you understand that my request comes from a place of sincere appreciation and a desire to find a better solution. Perhaps we could explore alternative ways to share this abundance? Maybe a weekly delivery instead of nightly, or finding local charities or food banks that could benefit from your generosity as well? This way, your kindness can have an even wider impact, reaching more people who could use the nutritious fruit.

Please know that I am genuinely grateful for your thoughtfulness and that this request is made with the utmost respect and appreciation for your kind-heartedness. Thank you for understanding my situation and for considering my humble plea. I look forward to finding a solution that works best for both of us.

Warm regards,

Evan
