This week we went to Hazel Dell for GX94Supper in the Field. Brett and Krystal Spray were our lucky winners. It was so nice getting to meet their family and friends. Their 3 daughters were fabulous too. The girls told us about their 4H experiences, speaking competitions that they have participated in, and showed off some of their kittens!

There was group of family members that I went to introduce myself to at the beginning of the night. It seemed like everyone in the line of people was either an aunt or uncle to Brett. It was really nice getting to meet all of them and learning a bit of their family tree. I could almost keep track of everyone in my head!

As always, a big thank you goes out to all of our sponsors. We got to chat with FCC, Farm Credit Canada Reps. It’s really cool because FCC manages to come out pretty much every single week for GX94 Supper in the Field. Meghan from Gowan Canada was there as well, but she really didn’t want her picture taken.

Krystal had these beautiful, huge sunflowers growing right in front of her house. And at the end of the night, Brett and Krystal’s youngest asked Doug Falconer if he would like a sunflower. He said no. I was aghast! LOL, I teased him, saying, “How can you say no to a beautiful sunflower Doug!” Next thing I knew I had one in my hand!

A big thank you to the Spray family for welcoming us into their home. Their farm was lovely and so peaceful! Hopefully we will see the family lots in the future with 4H at the Harvest Showdown and their eldest daughter promised she would let me chat with her on the air later in November when she gets back from Ontario and a big speaking competition! -Tonya Cherry-
