Regina man charged in McLean armed robbery makes first court appearance

A Regina man charged following an armed robbery in McLean over the weekend has made his first court appearance.

Just before 6:30 on Saturday night, Indian Head RCMP were called out to a business on the 200-block of Main Street in McLean, where they say a lone man entered the business, carrying an edged weapon, and took money from the cash register, before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

File Hills Police Service members assisting in the investigation located the vehicle, and arrested the driver.

53-year-old Shahn Hunter appeared Monday in Fort Qu’Appelle, charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon and Driving While Prohibited, and he remains in custody to appear again Thursday in Regina.
