Municipal Election Forum Highlights Key Issues Ahead of Yorkton Vote

Last night, The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce and the City of Yorkton hosted a Municipal Election Forum at the Gallagher Center.

On hand was Mitch Hippsley, seeking re-election as Mayor, and ten council candidates, including four of the six currently on council.

Running against Hippsley for Mayor is Aaron Kienle, who was absent at the Forum.

Seeking for re-election on the council are Quinn Haider, Dustin Brears, Darcy Zaharia and Randy Goulden.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Ortynsky, Greg Litvanyi, Todd Kulcsar, Ron Irvine, Lauretta Ritchie-McInnes, and Gurjit were looking to get elected to the city council.

Many topics were discussed, such as Budgets, city infrastructure, health care, and homelessness.

Election Day is November 13th.
