Man Who Admitted to Being an Accessory After the Fact to a Keeseekoose First Nation Murder Appears in Court Again

A sentencing date has been set for a Keeseekoose First Nation man, who pleaded guilty to Accessory After the Fact to Murder, in relation to a death on the reserve.

In Yorkton Court of King’s Bench yesterday (Thu), 22-year-old Telesphore Wapash had his matter adjourned to January 23.

In November of 2022, Kamsack RCMP were called to the Keeseekoose First Nation, where they found a 16-year-old Cote First Nation boy dead at the scene.

20-year-old Edgar Kakakaway Junior is charged with Second Degree Murder in relation to the death.
