I can’t help but be amazed that it’s already October 29th, and yet, the vibrant flowers continue to bloom in Saskatchewan. It’s quite a sight as you step outside of our offices at GX94; there are bright, beautiful colors that are almost surreal for this time of year. Normally, by the end of October, we would expect a much more subdued palette, but not this year. It’s quite remarkable, and I’d go as far as saying that the flowers are thriving and doing remarkably well for this late in the season. I honestly believe this is the latest I’ve ever witnessed flowers flourishing outside in Yorkton. It makes me wonder if anyone else can recall a time when we’ve experienced such an unusually warm and pleasant fall. It truly feels like a rare and special moment in time. With the light snow this morning I would think that should finish them off. In the picture below you can see the ice pellets we had this morning.
