A Neepawa man facing luring and child pornography-related charges from January of 2022, will go to trial next year.

An extensive investigation by Manitoba’s RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit revealed that a suspect was posing as a teenaged boy on Snapchat, requesting sexual photos from girls under the age of 18, and meeting some in person.

28-year-old Jaime Centeno was also arrested in April of 2021, where he was found to be breaching court-ordered conditions from previous charges in 2018.

Centeno remains in custody, and he’s scheduled to stand trial in Brandon Court of King’s Bench, starting next September.
