New Court Date for Man Arrested in Sapotaweyak Cree Nation Armed Robbery

A man arrested in connection with an armed robbery on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation, has appeared in court again.

24-year-old Chandler Cook was in Dauphin yesterday (Thu), where he was remanded in custody to next Thursday.

On November 2, Swan River RCMP responded to a report of a man who allegedly assaulted two men, and forced them to empty their pockets and turn over their cell phones at gunpoint.  

Cook and two other people were later arrested in a vehicle at the gas station in Mafeking.
