STAMPEDERS 3, NIGHTHAWKS 5

Newcomers Gavin Bartha and Jake Giacobbo both scored in their debuts but it wasn’t enough as the Swan Valley Stampeders fell on the road on Friday night, 5-3 to the Niverville Nighthawks.

Trace Langan also scored for the Stampeders, while Elias Giaccarri-Dimitriou made 37 saves in the defeat.

Matteo Speranza scored twice, while Avery Laliberte, Dawson Zeller and Merik Boles also chipped in with offence for the Nighthawks.

The Stampeders wrap up their weekend road-trip on Saturday night visiting the Portage Terriers at Stride Place.
