The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce confirmed its 2025 Board of Directors at today’s meeting. Eight candidates were elected by acclamation, including returning members Sunil Shah and Alicia Simoneau, and newcomers Jennifer Armstrong, Tony Dales, Bob Paton, Vishal Sukhadiya, Kristin Weber, and Corey Werner. They join six Directors completing the second year of their terms.
To fill two one-year vacancies, the Board appointed Doug Forster and Gurjit Dhaliwal, following the Chamber’s constitution. Executive Director Juanita Polegi expressed optimism about the mix of experience and fresh perspectives, saying, “The Board will bring strong leadership to the business community.”
The Chamber represents over 420 members and has served as the “voice of business in Yorkton” for 127 years. The new Directors will assume their roles in January 2025, when the Board elects its Executive team.
