The investigation into a single vehicle collision last week just south of Hudson Bay has taken a sinister turn.
Early in the morning on December 5, Hudson Bay RCMP responded to the scene along Highway 9, and found a vehicle that had left the road and came to rest at the bottom of an embankment.
A 50-year-old Hudson Bay woman was found near the vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene, while a man was treated by EMS personnel for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police now say the crash and the woman’s death involve suspicious circumstances, and the investigation continues, with the help of RCMP Forensic Identification Services, a collision reconstructionist and the Coroner’s Service.
