Hey friends! As I sit here, staring at these beautifully wrapped presents under my Christmas tree, I can’t help but feel the temptation to dive in early. Who’s with me on this? The excitement is almost too much to handle! But then, I remember what truly holds me back—the magic of the Christmas spirit.
Every year, my mom and I stick to a special tradition that keeps the anticipation alive. Inspired by the movie Scrooged starring Bill Murray, we allow ourselves to open just one gift on Christmas Eve. Whether we’re together or apart, we always watch the movie and open a small present, and it always brings a smile to my face. 🎁
This year, as I spend Christmas on my own, I find comfort in this little tradition. It’s a reminder of our shared moments and the love that binds us, even over distances. Plus, it’s a great opportunity for patience and gratitude, two things we could all use a little more of, especially during the holidays.
So, here I am, resisting the urge to sneak a peek and instead savoring the joy of waiting. It gives me time to reflect on how fortunate I am to have these presents in the first place and to appreciate the love and warmth they represent. Wishing you all a joyful holiday season filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of patience! ❤️
