$1,000 Donation to Norquay Helping Hands

This Christmas I traveled to Norquay and met with Reagan Foster to present her with a $1,000.00 cheque to Norquay Helping Hands. This is our third year in a row being able to donate to Norquay Helping Hands and of course the proceeds are from the sale of the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook.

A big thank you also goes to the Norquay Co-op, Home and Agro Centre. They once again sponsored the Christmas Goodies cookbook and had us at their store to sell the cookbook.

I love going to the Norquay Co-op, because I always find so many great things to buy. One year I fell in love with a teal lawn chair (teal is my colour!) This year, they had so many deals on, I walked away with the cutest Snail solar lawn decoration, a ton of Edison lights, a tree covered in twinkle lights, and a few more things that I probably shouldn’t list! It was all 50% off! I had a lot of fun.

Plus, this year, my Dad came along for the ride and a day of selling the cookbook. In the past I’ve helped my Dad out at tradeshows, working his booth, and this day, felt similar except with the rolls switched. He was too funny, trying to upsell all the listeners who came in to get their cookbooks.

And he helped me load the station vehicle with all of my purchases with barely any teasing! It was a great day, and a great day getting to make the donation as well. Hopefully we will be able to do it all again in Norquay. -Tonya Cherry-
