The Swan Valley Stampeders scored three goals in the opening 6:48 and never looked back in a convincing 6-2 victory over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Friday.
Ben Groome led the way for the Stampeders with two goals, one assist while Will Brown, Jake Giacobbo, Gavin Bartha and Trace Langan also scored.
Mikey Thomas and Maddox Mason provided the offense for the Wolverines.
Elias Giaccarri-Dimitiou earned the win in net making 31 saves on 33 shots for the Stampeders who are now just six points back of the final playoff spot in the MJHL’s West Division.
The two teams will meet again Saturday night in Waywayseecappo.
