Discovering Hidden Figures: A Journey of Inspiration and Friendship

Hey friends! While my new year’s resolutions might be off to a rocky start, I’m proud to share that one of my resolutions from last year has stuck: watching more movies I haven’t seen before. This week, I watched Hidden Figures, and I just have to tell you about it!

Set in the 1960s, the movie follows these three incredible women: Mary Jackson, Katherine Johnson, and Dorothy Vaughan. They all work at NASA in the West Computing Group and play a key role in launching astronaut John Glenn into orbit. The best part? It’s all based on a true story! Watching how these women navigated and overcame the challenges of their time was both uplifting and eye-opening.

The three leads, Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe, were absolutely amazing! Their chemistry made it feel like they’d been friends forever, just like their characters. Plus, the movie is packed with more famous faces like Kevin Costner, Jim Parsons, Kirsten Dunst, Mahershala Ali, and Glen Powell, which added to the fun.

You can stream Hidden Figures on Disney+ and Netflix

If you’re into movies that are based on real events and love a good dose of inspiration, Hidden Figures is definitely for you. So, grab your coziest blanket and some popcorn, and get ready to be inspired by these three incredible women. 🍿
