The Weyburn Red Wings got a powerplay goal late in the third from Jerome Maharaj to help them to a big 3-2 road victory over the Yorkton Terriers on Sunday afternoon.
Newcomer Josh Sale and Lucas Schmid also scored for the Red Wings who got a 29 save performance from netminder Angelo Zol in the victory.
Tylan Henrikson and Thomas Ries replied for the Terriers who had their eight game win streak come to an end.
Terriers goalie Callum Creig had his record drop to 11 and 3 on the season allowing three goals on 32 shots.
The two teams will meet once again on Wednesday night from Crescent Point Place in Weyburn.
