The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has announced their three MJHL Stars of the Week for the opening week of 2025. 

Yorkton product Grady Hoffman of the Steinbach Pistons and Swan Valley Stampeders forward Ben Groome were among those selected. 

Hoffman posted a hat-trick performance which included the game winner along with a shorthanded marker.

Hoffman opened 2025 with a goal and an assist before adding a single assist to cap off a big week for the MGEU East Division leading Steinbach Pistons.

Groome kicked off 2025 in a big way for the Stamps’, helping his club to back-to-back wins over an MGEU West Division rival in the Wolverines.

He scored 2 goals and 2 assists on Friday night before scoring the game winner on Saturday night.

Swan Valley now sits just four points back of the Oil Capitals and Wolverines who are fighting for the final playoff spot in the division.

Winnipeg Blues forward Carson White was the other star of the week.
