Last night, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Rose Valley RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway #49, five kilometers east of Kelvington, SK.
An investigation revealed that an SUV struck a parked truck and a pedestrian on the side of the highway. The pedestrian, a 59-year-old man from Lintlaw, SK, was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS. His family has been notified.
The female passenger in the parked truck was assessed by EMS and reported no physical injuries to police.
The male driver of the SUV also reported no physical injuries but was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Rose Valley RCMP, with support from a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist, is continuing the investigation.
