A new court date has been set for a man charged following an incident on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation last May.
26-year-old Errol Leask was in Swan River Court Wednesday on multiple charges, and was remanded in custody to February 5.
On May 11, Swan River Mounties received reports of a man wielding a weapon and threatening people on the reserve, before the suspect allegedly too a family member’s vehicle, possibly hitting someone on an ATV.
Officers located and tried to stop him, but he fled, driving recklessly, and after crashing the vehicle, he was apprehended with the help of community members.
