New court date set for man charged in murder on Piapot First Nation

A man charged following a death earlier this month on the Piapot First Nation, remains in custody after making another court appearance Thursday in Regina.

Southey RCMP discovered the body of 30-year-old Melanie Asham-Obey of the Pasqua First Nation, at a Piapot home on January 2 morning.

On January 4, 40-year-old Robin Kaiswatum was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.

He will be back in Regina Provincial Court on January 23.
