The Yorkton Terriers let a three goal lead slip away in the third period as they fell 4-3 to the Notre Dame Hounds as part of Hockey Day in Saskatchewan in Canora.
Tyler Palin, David Coyle and Bryce Dahl scored to give the Terriers a 3-0 lead before the Hounds scored four unanswered in the third period off the sticks of Hudson Kerr (2), Evin Bossel and Anthony Nolan.
Spencer Borsos made 53 saves on 56 shots to earn the victory for the Hounds in goal, while Terriers’ AP Luke McKechnie turned aside 58 of 62 shots in a losing cause.
The Terriers’ return to action on Friday night to begin a home and home series with the Nipawin Hawks at the Westland Insurance Arena.

Raine Hodge and William Forsberg each scored twice to lead the Melville Millionaires to their second straight win, a 5-1 victory over the Estevan Bruins.
Noah Belles-Isles had the other marker for the Mils who got 36 saves from Nick Genette who earned his second straight victory.
Rylan Ringor replied with the lone marker for the Bruins.
The Moneymen return to action on Tuesday night hosting the Flin Flon Bombers on Tuesday night.
