Two Arrested After Drugs and Cash Found During Dauphin Traffic Stop

Last week, Dauphin RCMP conducted a traffic stop on 1st Avenue SE at around 1:10 a.m. During the stop, officers detected the smell of cannabis and observed open liquor in the front seat of the vehicle.

The 25-year-old male driver and 29-year-old female passenger were arrested on the scene.

A search of the vehicle uncovered oxycodone, methamphetamine, cocaine, codeine, and cash.

Troy Pruden and Angel Chartrand, both from Dauphin, have been charged with multiple counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000, and Highway Traffic Act violations.

Both remain in custody.
