New Court Date for Man Accused of Piapot First Nation Murder

A man charged in connection with a death on the Piapot First Nation, has made another court appearance.

Southey RCMP discovered the body of 30-year-old Melanie Asham-Obey of the Pasqua First Nation, at a Piapot home on January 2.

40-year-old Robin Kaiswatum was arrested January 4, and charged with Second Degree Murder.

He appeared in Regina Provincial Court yesterday (THURS), and was remanded in custody to next Thursday.
